No prior experience necessary! Join us to learn how to dynamically and interactively visualize geospatial data with maps that can be shared to others via a link.<br><br>Note: This workshop is Part 2 of the series&nbsp;<strong>Intro to Webmapping,&nbsp;<\/strong>which explores common tools and platforms for making web maps.&nbsp; Part 1 focuses on free and straightforward online platforms for web mapping. Participants are encouraged to register for both sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hands on with Leaflet.js<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Intro to using your source code editor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Examine the map \u201cboilerplate\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Configure the load location and zoom level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change base layer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add building data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Examine building data attributes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Configure a popup<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This workshop is taught by a graduate student in Geography with expertise in GIS and cartographic methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Workshop Link:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ubc-library-rc.github.io\/gis-intro-leaflet\/\">https:\/\/ubc-library-rc.github.io\/gis-intro-leaflet\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Things to do before arriving:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This workshop will require the use of an internet browser and source code editor.
