DESCRIPTION:Dans le cadre de ses initiatives de contributions à Wikipedia\, le CRILCQ organise la première édition du Wikithon sur la recherche et la création en études québécoises\, en collaboration avec le Laboratoire de données et humanités numériques (LabDHN) du Service des bibliothèques de l’UQAM. L’activité se tiendra le 8 octobre 2026\, de 10h à 16h\, à l’UQAM\, pavillon Hubert-Aquin\, Bibliothèque centrale\, local A-M203. \n\n\n\nL’inscription est obligatoire (Date limite : 30 septembre 2026). \n\n\n\nLe dîner sera offert aux participant·es. \n\n\n\nConsulter la page Wikipédia de l’événement. \n\n\n\nRejoindre l’événement Facebook. \n\n\n\nDESCRIPTION\n\n\n\nSi le français est sous-représenté sur Wikipédia\, et que la culture au Québec l’est encore davantage dans l’encyclopédie francophone\, les études québécoises en sont pratiquement absentes. L’activité de contributions vise à lutter contre l’injustice épistémique de cette triple invisibilisation. \n\n\n\nProgrammation\n\n\n\n10h : Accueil \n\n\n\n10h15 : Mot d’ouverture \n\n\n\n10h30 : Formation « Comment contribuer à Wikipédia? SUMMARY:Tools and Workflows in QGIS\, Part 1
DESCRIPTION:This intermediate-level workshop is focused on common tools and workflows in QGIS. Part 1 will focus on setting up a QGIS project\, editing layer attributes and properties\, and employing common vector tools to answer spatial questions. Part 2 will introduce more advanced visualization tools\, including the Temporal Controller function\, radial flow maps\, and the QGIS2Web plugin that converts your project into a web map.Familiarity with the QGIS interface is prerequisite for this workshop.  However\, attendance of Tools and Workflows Part 1 is not required in order to attend Part 2. \n\n\n\nThis workshop is taught by a graduate student in Geography with expertise in GIS and cartographic methods. \n\n\n\nNOTE: Prior to the workshop date\, please review our Introduction to Mapmaking with QGIS (https://ubc-library-rc.github.io/gis-mapping-intro/). Additionally\, if you are new to QGIS\, we recommend you review our workshop on Thematic Mapping with QGIS (https://ubc-library-rc.github.io/gis-thematic-mapping/) as well. \n\n\n\nWorkshop Link: https://ubc-library-rc.github.io/gis-tools-workflows/ \n\n\n\nThings to do before arriving:\n\n\n\nQGIS is a free and open source desktop geographic information system (GIS).
