DESCRIPTION:Reproducible research means setting things up so that after a late-night moonlight and caffeine powered deep work breakthrough you can wake up the next morning and know what you did and explain it to your supervisor. It also means that research results can be verified independently\, and researchers can more easily share and use methods and tools developed by other researchers. \n\n\n\nThis session will explore what reproducibility and replicability are\, why they matter\, and what it means to call your research reproducible. We’ll discuss tools and techniques for making your research reproducible\, and discuss code based and documentation based approaches to reproducibility. \n\n\n\nBy the end of this session\, participants will be able to: \n\n\n\n\nUnderstand the principles and key concepts of reproducibility\n\n\n\nDocument their research process\n\n\n\nDiscover tools and techniques for implementing a reproducible research workflow\n\n\n\n\nDetails: Any preparatory work for the session can be found on its information page. This virtual workshop will be recorded and shared on the same page\, and discoverable via the Sherman Centre’s Online Learning Catalogue. \n\n\n\nInstructor: Isaac Pratt
