Wikipedia is now the largest global open education resource and is widely used by students, instructors, and researchers.  

Editing Wikipedia is easier than you might think, and can have uses and benefits beyond just the satisfaction of improving the world’s biggest encyclopedia. Instructors include Wikipedia assignments in the classroom as a method of experiential education and researchers use it to mobilize knowledge and drive research impact.  Instructors: Alexandra Wong, John Dupuis, William Denton.
