Crafting Feminist Futures: Working with Archival Images 

In this workshop we will work with visual artifacts, translating ideas contained in earlier protest items into the digital vernacular of memes that are so predominant in the present. By exploring different acts of translation between digital and the martial objects of feminist protest we will develop a stronger sense of the affective and rhetorical force of feminist visual culture and develop new tools and methods for advancing feminist critique in visual form for our future research and activism work.
